Unmitigated garbage

The final volume in the Twilight series is perhaps the worst of the lot—and that’s quite a statement, considering just how awful the first three books in this wretched series are. By now, the pathetic Twilight universe is well known to all who care to know about it, so I won’t waste any time—or indulge in any type of masochism—by describing the characters or recounting the plot, such as it is. The “action” in this unnecessarily bulky novel consists of about 70 pages of wedding/honeymoon anxiety (with Bella droning on endlessly about how beautiful and radiant her vampire groom is), 280 pages of an ironically prolonged rapid gestation (much of it told from Jacob’s point of view—and if you think Meyer sounds ridiculous writing as a lovestruck teenage girl, just wait until you get a load of her lame attempts to sound like a lovelorn teenage werewolf—um, excuse, me—I mean, shapeshifter). The remaining 370 pages or so revolve around the early childhood of Bella and Edward’s progeny, the unique—and uniquely annoying—half-vampire, half-human Renésmee, which itself is perhaps the single most ridiculous character name in all of printed literature. The alleged conflict that propels the remainder of the narrative is predicated upon the Volturi’s misunderstanding of Renésmee’s nature, and it results in one of the most anticlimactic climaxes ever put to paper—a battle between a “mist” and a “shield”—heart-pounding stuff. “Breaking Dawn” is a vapid, poorly written, and absolutely ridiculous tale, and I am definitely the worse for having read it. I take solace in the fact that it marks the end of the series, and I will never have to read another Twilight novel again. Ever.

ok the book breaking dawn is different from the movie.so i think part 2 will also be different.. but i cant wait to see it

Enjoyed the book even though it was a bit farfetch about the baby but I figured hey I am in a world of vampires and so called were wolves almost anything can happen so I let my imagination go and enjoy. And at the age of 70 I've learned a bit about seeing the other side of things and people from there point of view so I can highly recomend this book. Enjoy you are in another realm.

I think the title says it all. But this was by far the worst book I've ever had the misfortune to read. I sincerely wish I could go back in time, because I would force myself not to pick up one book from this dreadful series. I feel I wasted hours of my life and precious brain cells that can never be recovered.
