James Patterson’s Daniel X has his work cut out for him. As a teenage alien-hunter, he has a list of evil predators to eliminate, and while he's made it all look easy so far, much darker days await him. Next on his list, Number Five, is an unsightly and terrifying alien who is watching Daniel as intently as Daniel has been tracking him. Number Five kills for the thrill of it, and he’s operating a sinister entertainment network where innocent people are unknowingly the stars of the show. But while Number Five may have managed to brainwash the public, is he cunning enough to outwit the alien hunter? As the two seek to destroy one another, who will be the ultimate winner? Will Daniel X live to go after the sixth evildoer on his list?

Yesteryear when I was a teenager, I might have enjoyed this book but as an adult, not so much. Geared for the younger readers! This book will be in the stack that is donated to the local library.

Great series for adolescent boys. I enjoy the series, too - as a adolescent book specialist. This is not designed for adults! So pleased that Patterson is aiming at adolescents with the Maximum Ride Series, Witch and Wizard, and Daniel X. Series books are the absolute best way to hook non-readers if we expect to develop life-long readers. Add Daniel X to your list of gifts to buy.

Have not read this book. However, I have read most of Mr. Patterson's books. But whenever I see he has written another book I cringe. I simply cannot keep up with his writing. My checkbook won't permit it. Does he write while he is on vacation, or does he ever take a vacation,at least from writing?

My grand-daughter has always had an attention problem and school was very hard. She started reading about 2 1/2 yrs ago...She loved the first Daniel X book and could not wait to get this one for Christmas. Anything that get a Child reading and excited about it is Good in my opinion
