Bonus Materials are Fascinating

I bought this book intending to give it to my granddaughter, but have decided to keep it for my own collection. The bonus materials are fascinating, but not child friendly. I really enjoyed reading Don Freeman's original text, his editor's notes, and their correspondence.

This Anniversary Edition is such a lovely addition to our collection. I love it and my girls love it. It's alot bigger than I expected and had alot of interesting extras in the back. We will treasure this book for years to come.

Great classic in Corduroy

This book was a nice size, bigger than the one I saw in the book store, and felt substantial in quality. Being that it was the anniversary book, it had several notes, letters, and drawings in the back of the book (copies from pre-publication, etc). These let you into the authors world in a nice way so that you could know more about how Corduroy came about.
I hope it becomes a classic in my nieces storytimes.
